Pauline Schindler (aka Byrne) is an Irish artist currently living on the beautiful island of Mallorca.

After immigrating to Germany in the 70s, she underlined her passion for art through her studies of art and art history at the "Hochschule für Künste" (Bremen) and the "Internationale Akademie für Kunst und Gestaltung" (Hamburg).
She mainly works on Japanese papers, limed or stitched onto gauze and canvas. She uses mixed media: oils, acrylics, pastels, stains, inks and found objects that give meaning to her works.

Her abstract style is heavily inspired by vivid colors, cultural symbols and weaving of her own stories into collages.
